The Bicycle Workshop

I just spent an awesome weekend up in Fryburg, Maine at the Bicycle Coalition of Maine’s Bike Rally. This year’s event coincided with the national League of American Bicyclists rally so it had over 500 people attending. Lots of camping, riding, laughing and generally being immersed in bike community. My daughter got to ride her bike in the parade, which was a major highlight for her and us. Continue Reading »

It was affectionately called, “Bike Maintenance for Chicks.”  A nerd in high school, I didn’t really consider myself a “chick.”  That connoted some sense of toughness and confidence.  Little did I know back in 2002 when I enrolled in Erik West’s class in Kennedy Park that I would learn how to fix my bike and so much more.
